The sad fact is, the facts have never mattered less than they do today. We’re living in a time when… truth has been so diminished in value that even those at the top of government are quite comfortable with truth being whatever they can convince people to believe.
If you can’t muddle your way through most or all of this, do yourself a favor and read this one article, authored by Don Donovan, a data analyst and behavioral economist. He has been ahead of the curve on this entire fiasco and presents data, facts, and logic in a reasoned way that is inarguable.
To remind you of his premise, here are highlights:
“The true mortality rate of COVID-19, will likely be proven to be near 0.1%… — the same percentage that die every year from the seasonal flu. The reported death rate is a fraud because, currently, everyone is calculating and reporting the death rate by dividing the number of deaths by the number of confirmed cases — that is wrong. To understand the true death rate from COVID-19 you must divide the number of deaths by the total number of infections…Those currently making policy know next to nothing about human behavior, as evidenced by their recommendations and strategies. We have now “listened”, “obeyed”, and “sacrificed” jobs, income, security, and schooling for our kids to what end? To end this crisis? No. It is not ended. Now, bureaucrats, experts, elites, who have sacrificed nothing, want us to do it for “who knows how long”. Another month? 2 months? Longer?”

Only about 1/3rd of us want the country to open. In one poll, only 10 percent of voters surveyed support ending social distancing to stimulate the economy.
Too many of you are too frustrated over the shutdown of America and yet, you must accept the fact that you are in the minority. This isn’t 2016; you can’t simply dismiss and wave away dozens of surveys, polls, and studies that show the overwhelming majority of Americans are in favor of the “better safe or sorry,” approach. In 2016 people were ashamed and embarrassed to admit they were going to vote for Donald Trump, but that’s not why he was elected. He was elected because the overwhelming majority of Americans who were against him didn’t vote (because they never thought he had a chance of winning). With that said, being in the minority doesn’t make you wrong, it makes your task harder.
FACT: WE DIDN’T DESTROY OUR ECONOMY TO STOP THE VIRUS; WE DESTROYED IT TO SLOW DOWN AND PREPARE FOR THE INEVITABLE
People completely misunderstand what we did. Social distancing and isolation was never intended to stop or kill the virus because that’s not how it works.

FACT: TO WHATEVER EXTENT WE ARE “ALLOWED” TO REOPEN, IT ABSOLUTELY WILL TRIGGER MORE CASES OF CORONAVIRUS
