The adventures of the Williams Manor dogs continue with this pathetic display of Maestro, Callie and Scout perched above the staircase to the garage waiting for my wife to come home (14 year old Nellie is around the corner sleeping. She can’t be bothered at this stage of her life)
2-year-old Callie, the Sheprador we adopted months ago, continues to assimilate. Some habits are harder than others for her to break like her obsession with anything food related
To be fair, my wife thinks Callie is as obsessed with me as she is with food
The truth is, Callie is just obsessed with food and love, sometimes in rather creepy ways
In she goes! I’m pretty sure Christina did not consent to this slurp
At least a couple times per week we are entertained by LAB-ception, when Callie abandons her shepherd side and she and Scout come together to form one big black lab.
And the licking begins
Scout’s role in the pack is that of salon operator; he offers such services as ear cleaning
And when he gets going, he really gets in there
Regardless of which dog it is, his patient always dozes off…
Many of you remember the custom made kennels we ordered when we moved into the new house last year…
With the addition of a 4th dog, we needed a couple more, which we brought home this weekend
To get the kennels home, we borrowed Dawn’s older pick-up truck, since we got rid of ours in the name of full-sized SUV big enough for all 4 dogs. The first thing I noticed was there was no back-up camera…or blue tooth…or Navigation system!
This is what happens when you run a working farm truck over 150,000 miles…the brake light stays on even when the brake isn’t set, and even when the truck is in reverse, it swears it’s in drive!
The most interesting part was Dawn’s air freshener…don’t know what to make of this…
Fortunately, Scout was most appreciative of Dawn loaning us her truck and was first in one of the new kennels
Maestro crawled into the other one and everyone was happy!
