Time to check in with Williams Manor, starting with this before picture, just inside the front door.
We decided to design and build in a bar cabinet to display our glasses and beverages in style
And here’s the completed “after,” picture
The bar has a slate countertop and backsplash that matches the rest of the house and plenty of cabinetry to display our glasses, liquors and trinkets
We use this open center area to highlight some of our most valuable liquors
Now I know what you’re thinking…you’re saying “Rob, that’s not nearly enough Tahoe Blue Vodka!”
Fear not, dear reader…there are storage drawers in the cabinets below, well stocked
From the second floor, looking down, we’re working on our display of bottles for decorative purposed (we couldn’t care less about the liquors inside of them, we just like the look of the bottles).
Back downstairs, this is my POV when relaxing on the sofa watching football
In the upper left hand corner of the wall unit sits our Biscuit hat…Christina or I wear it when one of is being one (“Biscuit,” is Robstina speak for “jerk)…I put her Picture on the biscuit and haven’t stopped laughing since
Also in our main room is our wall of cities…when you “round up” to the nearest large city from our childhoods, she’s from Dallas and I’m from San Francisco, two beautiful cities being ruined by local politicians, so we choose to remember them the way we want to.
Speaking of walls, there are certain things that seemingly EVERYONE comments on when they see the house for the first time and this simple wine wall is always one of them
In the kitchen, everyone loves the spice wall
Ironically, this was in our old house, but just wasn’t displayed in a place that most people saw…everyone loves it’s look and functionality
Speaking of the kitchen, we have finally finished it and made the most of our storage and display space
The pantry is simple and easy to use and easy to keep organized
And as always, we like to display our humor, even when it comes to food labeling.
