Brando’s Review of “Willy’s Wonderland” starring Nicolas Cage
Nicolas Cage consistently stars in movies that when you see the trailer you think, “Nic must owe a lot of money to the IRS still” or “this guy really doesn’t care about his reputation as an actor, does he” and maybe even “Of course Nic Cage is going to star as Joe Exotic in the upcoming mini-series in production now!” Either way, Mr. Cage doesn’t seem to turn many projects down. When the trailer for Willy’s Wonderland was making the rounds on social media earlier this year, I didn’t feel compelled to watch it… at all.
When his car breaks down, a quiet loner agrees to clean an abandoned family fun center in exchange for repairs. He soon finds himself waging war against possessed animatronic mascots while trapped inside Willy’s Wonderland.
During our recent Winter vacation, a friend of mine who is a self-proclaimed “movie whore” said that it is a must-watch simply for two reasons; Nic Cage doesn’t have one line of dialogue and Nic Cage beats the shit out of possessed animatronic mascots at an amusement park called Willy’s Wonderland. I was not disappointed! If you are looking for a mindless, stupid, violent, horror/thriller with absolutely no words uttered by Nicolas Cage’s character “The Janitor,” then you are in luck! You get Nic Cage’s best action moves against the murderous machines and he even shows off his killer moves on a pinball machine in between killing sprees. If you don’t want to think and you want to be entertained, visit Willy’s Wonderland.
