Review by Brandon:
The Marvel Universe continues in Ant-Man & The Wasp, the sequel to Ant-Man, led by Paul Rudd. Rudd is lucky to have landed this super-hero role. Normally, Paul Rudd struggles to carry a movie, but thanks to the Marvel madness, he found the perfect role and is sure to cash in on all of that Marvel money.
While most critics are crapping on this sequel, I really enjoyed it! Critics and most other “movie buffs” reviewing this movie are likely overwhelmed with Marvel and are comparing it too much to the recent Avengers movie. If you have seen the ending of The Avengers, you will know that the cliffhanger left a lot of people devastated and seeking answers as to why Thanos did what he did. Ant-Man & The Wasp takes place in the time between Captain America: Civil War and the most recent Avengers movie. Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) is grappling with the consequences of his choices as both a superhero and a father. Approached by Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), Lang must once again don the Ant-Man suit and fight alongside the Wasp. The urgent mission soon leads to secret revelations from the past as the dynamic duo finds itself in an epic battle against a powerful new enemy.
If you liked the first Ant-Man movie, and have enjoyed his addition to the Marvel Universe, you won’t be disappointed by this sequel. Sure, it didn’t hit as hard as the most recent Avengers movie, but it was a much needed fun, comedic relief.
Also, stay for the post-credits scene!!! Especially, if you know what happened at the end of Avengers: Infinity War. Trust me. Thumbs up!
