My fiancé and I headed to Reno and the first stop was straight to the Diamond Vault to meet with the owner, Mark
We were there to pick what will be my wedding band
That’s Christina and me along with Brian who took the ring design Christina and I created and turned it into the perfect beauty that it is
And this is us being totally ridiculous
We then headed to the Silver Legacy and checked into our gorgeous suite
We were treated to an amazing lightning storm while in the tub Friday early evening (lightning not pictured)
The room was on the 35th floor and had an almost full panoramic view of the entire Reno/Sparks area. In the foreground is the Eldorado and the National Bowling Stadium
Here we have Circus Circus and off in the distance, UNR and Sparks
On Saturday morning we walked to the original Peg’s for breakfast and, of course, it was packed and there was a wait. Which was fine since it turned into a mini-rad meet and greet. We met so many nice maggots!
One person we met who was NOT nice was this space invader who had no reason to standing where she was, LITERALLY inches from Christina while we were waiting for our food. She stood there for 5 minutes
Frustrated, but not wanting to embarrass Christina, we decided to trade seats. In order for Christina to get up, she literally had to bump the bitch while saying excuse me. The rude trollop barely moved to the point where as I sat down, I had to bump her to get to my seat (again while saying “excuse me”). She never apologized, moved enough and glared at Christina as though WE were the rude ones…and again, there was NO reason for her to be standing there!
Reno has really done a nice job of slowly renovating the river area. Unfortunately, people still suck. This is supposed to be a giant pottery piece.
Unfortunately, scumbags have turned it into a garbage can
Sadly, our walk along South Sierra street presented plenty of reminder that we have a long way to go as a species
I thought I was in San Francisco for a while…
We were still able to enjoy a great walk along the river in beautiful weather
We spent last Saturday morning enjoying the room including a hot bath for me with my personal magazine, the Robb report.
Meanwhile, Christina got no peace during her bath as I had to give her the creepy “Ellllllloooooooo,” fingers
There were a bunch of military exercises going on all weekend. We saw a bunch of soldiers and were treated to multiple fly-bys from our room like these two Coast Guard choppers
Saturday afternoon we walked down to my favorite local hole-in-the-wall, Beto’s on 5th street for amazing authentic Mexican food
We’re at the Jim Jeffries show and getting photo bombed by my own team!
This is what we were going for…
On the way out of town Sunday morning after the Jim Jeffries show Saturday night, we caught some of the annual balloon races
The balloon races are fun and beautiful, and something everyone should see at least once. After having done about 10 of them, this was good enough for me!
