Dawn mentioned last week that the smoke caused by the massive wildfires makes her think of fall and fireplaces. It makes me think of all of the personal tragedies related to evacuations and lost homes, but whatever. I’m sure Dawn will be very sad that our usual view from Williams Manor of Folsom Lake and Downtown SAC was ruined by the smoke
On the first day of the fires being out of control, I went outside during the show and grabbed this picture of the raining ash covering the Corvette
Last Saturday we golfed at the Ridge in Auburn with tons of smoke and a bright red sun…if you look closely, you’ll find security chief Pat in this picture
This picture is not enhanced and doesn’t actually capture just how “on fire” the sun appeared

In the midst of this heat and being stuck at home, we’ve been running the A/C (and everything else) non-stop which led us to our power company letting us know that we’re using 280% more power than similar homes
But wait…upon further review, they’re comparing our power usage to homes that are 2,000 square feet SMALLER than our home!! (Yes, yes…it’s a nice problem to have, blah blah blah)
This “helpful tip” elicited a loud GO F&%K YOURSELF when read by my wife and me. 69 all the time at Williams Manor (GIGGITY)
