A few weeks ago, after I told Dawn a story about our Labrador Retriever, Scout, stealing shoes at Williams Manor, she brought this sign for my wife and me
Although on cue, that same very day I came home to find Scout with my sneaker
And when confronted with his new sign, Scout seemed to care even less (although he posed naturally like a champion showbiz dog for this shot)
We recently sent the pack to Dogwoods for a mini-vacation and 14 year old Nellie the white German Shepherd made what will be one of her last visits, most likely
After only a little while out walking on day one, Nellie made it clear she was tired and needed to stop. And in traditional adorable fashion, Maestro took his spot as Alpha dog and let the others know it was time to return to basecamp.
Callie the Sheprador, our newest pack addition, started to make friends with Jake while at Dogwoods
Scout also loved Jake…in all the wrong ways. Face palm.
Back at home, Scout has moved from shoes to Christina’s hat
And the regression to puppy continued the next day when we found what was left of a toy pillow upstairs.
So we sent them all back to dogwoods and sewed Scout and Callie together to make it easier to watch both of them
This picture…apparently Callie likes to drink straight from the hose. Weirdo
Back at home, Callie has started to sit in this odd spot and position on a regular basis.
Scout, meanwhile, owns the sofa as he always has as Callie peers from under him like a little creep
Let’s play a game…somewhere in this picture are a lab, a sheprador, and a wife…HINT…they’re each black.
My wife used to always start her mornings with a pot of tea so we recently restocked her supply so she could restart the habit
And almost immediately, Callie was quite curious. But that makes sense, she’s half English Labrador, after all (har har har)
