During the PG&E blackouts a couple weeks ago my wife and I abandoned ship and headed to downtown SAC for a staycation…do you think we packed enough for a weekend?
With the town sold out, we lucked our way into a room at the Hyatt Regency which we wound up loving, actually
And how can you go wrong with a view of the capitol? Eh? Eh?
And with the Capitol, of course, come protesters. I’m sure they changed the world with this march
As for all of that luggage, we had to pack prepared for a weekend in the room so the necessities were brought!
It’s not our first rodeo. Once you find yourself without proper accoutrements in a room, you never let it happen again
Big thanks to maggot “Fabbi,” who checked us in and sent us some champagne and charcuterie just because!
One of the many great finds of the weekend was Dawson’s steakhouse inside the Hyatt which was amazing, despite my wife Christina’s smart ass look here
Yes, the prime rib was as perfect as it looks here
It was Aftershock weekend and a lot of festival go-ers were staying at the Hyatt. Shockingly, This sign did not do it’s job.
Yes, her shirt says “Mrs. ALWAYS right.” Insert eye roll emoji here
This is my millennial wife on Saturday morning…reading the newspaper PAAAARRRRTTTYYYYY!
One of the many great finds of that weekend was Jazzi’s Steampunk Cigar Company, where Christina and I are now members. A truly great place to hang out and meet people in a fantastic envrinoment. This is not Jazzi, it’s one of our many new friends, Kevin. He’s almost most likely to open the door if you come by so behave yourself.
Back at home, Scout the Lab was quite intrigued by the stuffed maggots lying around Williams Manor being signed
He clearly wanted one as a toy, but since that would cut into the maggot mall sales, NO MAGGOT FOR YOU SCOUT!
