This week, we present “living with Covid,” beginning on the golf course, as Dawn’s husband, Gary and I, practice proper social distancing
Of course, we’re already safe from the virus because this covid-proof plastic keeps us separated while we’re in the golf cart
For those of you not familiar with golf, his is the flag on the green…it identifies the hole where we need to ultimately make the ball go
Thanks to Covid, there’s now a piece of Styrofoam inside the hole at the bottom of the cup…why you ask?…
…so that when my ball goes into the hole, I don’t have to reach in as far as usual to retrieve it, this obviously protecting me from getting Covid by touching the inside of the cup
To further insure our safety, water is no longer provided on the course because…well…I don’t know why. There used to be jugs of ice water inside of this now empty cage to help keep us hydrated. But hey, heat stroke and dehydration are a small price to pay in exchange for not catching Covid
You may have noticed, though, that paper cups are still provided so I was able to scoop up some runoff sprinkler water and quench my thirst
This just made me laugh…An Instagram post for the return of “Restaurant Impossible” on Food Network showing host Robert Irvine rubbing his face with his hands garnered hundreds of comments from people pointing out how unsanitary and unsafe it is of him to be touching his face in the age of Covid.
Even our dogs aren’t safe from the effects of Covid…while at Dogwoods Resort, Maestro and Scout had to practice proper social distancing. Which makes no sense since they live together, but none of this makes any sense
OK boys, this is a little ridiculous. 6 feet is fine.
Maestro acted as Covid Captain for their visit: “NOPE…not another step closer, strange dog. Must practice social distancing!”
Even when people would arrive to Dogwoods Resort, Maestro and Scout made sure to be good role models to the newbies and demonstrate proper social distancing
DON’T PANIC! This is NOT a current picture. This is B.C., Before Covid, when the dogs were allowed to fraternize and get close to one another. That log has now been wrapped in plastic and only two dogs are allowed on it at a time
Maestro and Scout even posed separately for their glam shots in these crazy times

Of course we’re using delivery services more than ever, but when I first saw that our shopper was a “Karen” I was not happy. But then my wife reassured me that she would be excellent since she would complain to the manager if any of our items were not available and/or perfect.
