Photos: Brine-A-Palooza Wildfire Relief Event

On Saturday, November 17th, 2018, we had our annual Brine-A-Palooza event.  This year, we added the Wildfire Relief to the title because, well, it was necessary.  With the help of over 100 determined volunteers and the generosity of a handful of local business owners and community organizations, we were able to facilitate a full-blown donation drive that resulted in a semi-truck, 2-24′ trucks, volunteer trailers and box trucks filled with donated goods for the victims and their animals of the Camp Fire in Butte County.  It wouldn’t have felt right to be out meeting our faithful “Maggot” Army, preparing for Thanksgiving, without using this day as an opportunity to rally together and give back to those in need.  The human kindness was palpable, let’s try to keep it going for the weeks, months and years to come.  This is what community is all about.  Thank you.
