Brandon’s Review:
Netflix has done it again! If you enjoy a good psychological thriller, then Velvet Buzzsaw might be just what you’re looking for. Jake Gyllenhaal stars in this violent and sometimes humorous satire on the elites within the art world. All of the characters in this film are seeking the most profit and recognition. When an artist passes away in the apartment building of a struggling art dealer, she stumbles upon a stash of invaluable art, that turns deadly towards those who sell the art for profit. The art, that is painted with human blood in some cases, comes alive and devours whomever makes money off of it. There wasn’t a dull moment in this Netflix original, and I highly recommend it. It is definitely not a good movie to watch with the kids around. Thumbs up!
