Review: Beef (Netflix Series)

Brandon’s Entertainment Review For:

BEEF (A Netflix Series)

“Beef” is a refreshing and hilarious comedy/drama that brings together two incredibly talented actors, Steven Yeun and Ali Wong. Created by Korean director Lee Sung Jin, the show follows the story of Danny Cho and Amy Lau, two individuals whose involvement in a road rage incident quickly spirals out of control.

From the very first episode, it’s clear that “Beef” is a well-crafted and well-executed series (which I would say is just as good as some of the greatest shows ever made like Breaking Bad or Better Calls Saul). The writing is sharp and witty, with a perfect balance of humor, drama and action that keeps you engaged and invested in the story. The chemistry between Steven Yeun and Ali Wong is captivating, with the two actors playing off each other perfectly to deliver a comedic, dramatic and heart wrenching masterpiece.

But “Beef” isn’t just a comedy, it’s also a touching drama that explores themes of forgiveness, redemption, and the importance of human connection. Through the ups and downs of Danny and Amy’s relationship, the show reminds us that sometimes, the people we least expect can end up being the ones who change our lives the most.

Overall, “Beef” is a must-watch for anyone who loves a good comedy drama. I binged this series in one day!  With its talented cast, sharp writing, and heartwarming story, it’s a standout series that is sure to leave a lasting impression. I highly recommend!
