Queenie's Biography
Once upon a time; there was a poor white trash girl from Henderson Nevada. At age 23 she was spotted by broadcasting legend Rob Williams and her career took off!
Okay okay seriously.. I’m Queenie Jones! I was brought into the RAD universe in the summer of 2019, by my Aunt Dawn, you know… THE Dawn! I started by helping her out with orders and deliveries for the RAD Super/stupid Store and I took the opportunity to show off my creative and comedic chops around the building, I did any and every task asked of me- anything to get noticed by the big guy! Before long, Rob saw my potential and I was slowly integrated into the cast of the show! Not long after I released my first book in the Maggot Mall; A collection of my original artwork and poetry entitled “The Persistence of Memory”- A surrealist autobiography. This book explored issues I faced in my childhood such as abuse, drug addiction, abandonment and more. I call it an expression of beautiful unfiltered darkness.
A few months later I released my second book “Letters from the Lemon Tree” made in collaboration with Visual Artist Felicia Montenegro; where I share my journey to the RAD show, falling and failing in love, the tremendous positive effect my Aunt Dawn has had on my life and most of all; it’s about getting up when you fall!
I enjoy posting about my days at RAD, some short poems and artwork on my Instagram account (@heyqueeniejones). I also love making my own clothes, sculpting, doing makeup, drawing, painting and researching historical artists and poets. Two of my favs being Salvador Dali and Sylvia Plath.
I’m also a big thrift store girl, I love bargains! I guess you can say I just like anything I can do to make my days feel like a work of art.
