This weekend was noteworthy for a variety of reasons, starting with my wife Christina finishing her first year of law school…which resulted in this Instagram worthy moment of art as she highlighted her bottle of champagne with our pool in the background…what a millennial
It was, also, of course, Mother’s Day and my mom came over for dinner and met our newest edition, Callie, the 2-year-old Sheprador, for the first time
And apparently it didn’t take long before Mom was ready to strangle Callie
By the end of the night she was passed out…or perhaps mildly strangled
Scout and Maestro demonstrated how to be proper good dogs while my mom and wife enjoyed appetizers
As for a gift (in addition to dinner and her RENT paid each month) we got my mom this beautiful rubber tree plant, since she has a green thumb and loves to take care of these things
Meanwhile, my wife, Christina, is a dog mom to 4 so of course she got beautiful roses
The dogs wrote a very heartfelt note to her
Personally, I thinks the dogs are trying to show-me-up and over-did it but whatevs….
And of course the minute you give your millennial wife flowers, she immediately has to get the perfect picture for social media
Including every angle, every possibility, etc…
This has nothing at all to do with Mother’s day but it’s a lovely little video of an unwelcome visitor that arrived when my wife ordered groceries delivered so that she could make us pot roast…enjoy!
