I spent my birthday weekend in Texas, just outside of Austin..there were 4 things I wanted to do for my Birthday weekend, go Fishing, go Shooting, go out to dinner and go to this Cowboy Church I’ve wanted to check out…We went Fishing Saturday morning, before we headed out to fish we went to JJ’s BBQ and Burgers to eat some breakfast Tacos, it’s like a religion in Texas they love to eat breakfast tacos!! Or maybe it’s a Central Texas thing!

Growing up we used to go fishing with my Grandpa and I’ve been with my husband but it had been awhile so I was really excited to just be out in nature fishing! It was my hubby and I and our good friend John, his wife Niki stayed home with their little guy who had the flu…it was a rainy day but beautiful and a shit ton of fun!!

We didn’t catch anything…boooo! Lol! But we came across this lovely carp!!

After a day of fishing, it was time to get some dinner and drinks!! Just in case you forget you are in Texas they make sure that every place you go there has the Texas flag somewhere!!

Sunday morning we headed over to Harvest Ranch where Williamson County Cowboy Church is, I’ve been wanting to check their Sunday morning service out, this place was really pretty, photos do it no justice! Wanted to take a ton more photos of inside the church but the service started and you know didn’t want to be rude! Did get a shot of the bathroom tho, LOVED the décor of the bathroom!!!

After Church it was time to go shooting!! I’ve always enjoyed shooting, it’s fun! But have never really had total complete training, I LOVE shotguns so our buddy who is a former bad ass in the Army and now is a Police Officer said he would start training me with shotguns, this is the first of our many to come sessions!! He has INCREDIBLE knowledge to share and I’m just soaking it up!
