Official Contest Rules - The Pressure Cooker
Description of Contest
- A recurring game called “The Pressure Cooker,” may award prizes to one lucky caller as described below.
How to Enter and play: Listeners may participate anytime the show (RAD) invites listeners to be the 18th caller 888-989-9811 to play the Pressure Cooker game. Invitations will occur randomly at hosts’ discretion and may or may not occur daily or multiple times per day at random times between 6-10am PT. The 18th caller will then be given a chance to play The Pressure Cooker as follows:
1. The Pressure Cooker is a timed game of skill and knowledge. Caller 18 will have 30 seconds to answer trivia questions as read by the host. A minimum of 5 questions and a maximum of 9 will be read, time allowed. Caller 18 must answer 5 questions correctly in order to win the stated prize. Caller 18 will not be told in the immediate that their answer is or isn’t correct. Rather, after the 30 seconds of questioning, hosts will recap each question and reveal the correct answer(s) while tabulating the caller’s score. If Caller 18 does not correctly answer 5 of the questions, the prize is not awarded to anyone.
2. At any time, during any play, In the event that a technical malfunction makes it impossible for the winner to express a guess, or for a guess to be heard by the hosts, a back-up caller, previously determined to be caller #19, will be given a chance to play. If caller #19 is unable or unavailable, the game will be postponed until a substitute contestant calls in, when directed by the hosts later. Original contestant will forfeit chance to guess, regardless of the reasons for initial malfunction, including, but not limited to, cell phone cut-outs, accidental disconnection and force majeure. In the event of technical malfunction, original contestant waives and releases any and all rights and claims to attempt another guess, participate further in the contest, and to any contest prize.
3. Prizes: Prizes will vary and will be announced at each invitation to play each contest.
